Ep 52: Overstuffed Turkeys

LEAVE US A MESSAGE ON OUR NEW BROTHERS IN 3-Z TALK BACK LINE 206-202-4738 . . . GIVE US A CALL!
SOOOO MUCH SHOW... to go along with lots of American Thanksgiving turkey. With little editing time, the Brothers Z release an oversized, super stuffed, no giblets included episode! They haven't used the "switch" button so many times in one show! This week they discuss....

Britney Spears Pantless - Britney visited a nightclub with Paris Hilton and took off her pants. Why? Who knows?

Ripa her a new one! - Kelly Ripa and Rosie have a quarrel over a seemingly harmless comment that Rosie was offended by.

Frozen Beer - Will beer from the freezer taste different? Why? and what should Ryan do with the leftovers?

Cut above - Adam steals Jay Cutler from Trent after he loses Donovan McNabb... entering into the actual sports!

Millen - Is Matt Millen trying to get fired? Adam thinks that Millen is pulling a Costanza!

Kramer - Michael Richards flies off the handle. Makes racist remarks, and seems a little nuts.

NFL Network - The NFL Network is showing games. Not everyone gets the NFL Network. I bet they want to watch football games too.

Gambling - when do they set the lines?

Rematch - NOOOOOOO. Please do not let there be an OSU/Michigan rematch! They may cry.

Fried - Adam wants to fry a turkey, but doesn't want to lose a limb.

Green Shirts -Notre Dame pilled out the green uniforms for... Army? What the hell? They thought they were for BIG games.

Alfonso - How much is this 61 uear old worth?

Outtakes -
Consider it extra stuffing... DELICIOUS!

Ep 51: Bar Room Chatter with Trent

LEAVE US A MESSAGE ON OUR NEW BROTHERS IN 3-Z TALK BACK LINE 206-202-4738 . . . GIVE US A CALL!
Since no one else seems to be talking about it, Trent wants to revisit back when Eli Manning was being a whiney little cry baby to get out of San Diego and what does he think of that decision now?

The quarterbacks were handled differently; Rivers sat for 2 years behind Brees, Manning started in year 1 - does it mean anything now that Rivers seems to be a bit better?

Mike Vick, is he a "unique talent" at QB, or just a WR trying to play QB?

Michigan at Ohio State final say... an "enthusiastic 'so what?'" (Obscure tribute to 'The Argument').

Week 11 Pickies

Man oh man was last week a bad week for me... but it was for most people - so I feel good to not be alone. I have to redeem myself so...

Atlanta at Baltimore - Baltimore - The Falcons wasted 2 opportunities to keep pace in their division with losses at Detroit and to Cleveland, not they have to play a team that has a better defense than either the Lions or the Browns and a QB who is finally comfortable in the system. It took McNair 8 games - Vick is in his 7th year, and I don't think he's been comfortable yet.

Chicago at N.Y. Jets - Chicago - This is the 2nd week in a row the Bears will be in the Meadowlands - itmay feel like a home game for them.

Cincinnati at New Orleans - Cincy - This is a must win for Cincy if they have hopes to stay alive - they played much better offense last week, and I don't know if the Saints have the fire-power to keep pace if the Bengals play like that again.

Buffalo at Houston - Houston - Houston is clearly on the rise - Buffalo, sans McGahee, is clearly on the decline. Catch O.J.'s interview "If I played in this game, this is how many yards I would have" only on FOX.

Minnesota at Miami - Miami - Miami will string together some wins in the 2nd half of the season so their fans will get excited and people will be picking them to win the Super Bowl again next year. It's part of their evil plan to wallow in mediocrity as long as they can.

New England at Green Bay - New England- This weeks cliche sports talk radio topic? Brett Favre is good again! He should play FOREVER!

Oakland at Kansas City - Kansas City - Speaking of cliche radio topics, Damon Huard was last week's ("Shoud Huard start when Green is healthy?"). After last week, you don't hear much of that. Green may play on Sunday, and everyone gets a little healthier against the Raiders.

Pittsburgh at Cleveland - Cleveland - Cleveland is a team on the uprise, and they are playing at home. The Steelers' "stick um" was replaced with "Crisco" and they let this one slip away too.

St. Louis at Carolina - Carolina - St. Louis is like a woman who flirts with you like madness, maybe makes a couple grabs at you and then just wants a kiss on the chick. They have the weapons and the flash - they just don't seem to have the finish.

Tennessee at Philadelphia - Tennessee (Upset Special!) Tennessee has been DYING to knock off someone in a playoff hunt - they lose to the Colts by a point earlier in the year, they lose to Baltimore by a point last week. Tennessee is making these games close - personally, I don't see how - but they better sign Fisher to an extension.

Washington at Tampa Bay - Washington - Gibbs is changing QBs this week for the sake of change - and the team will rally behind Campbell for a week.

Detroit at Arizona - Detroit - I can't figure the Lions out - I do know Arizona's defense is horrid. I just get scared of possibly hearing something like "With the first pick in the 2007 Draft, the Detroit Lions select Ted Ginn WR from Ohio State." The sad thing is, that could actually happen and Millen would have to move to Canada... which wouldn't be a bad thing.

Seattle at San Francisco - San Francisco (Upset Number 2) - San Fran has impressed me this year with their progress. They are very solid at home too.

Indianapolis at Dallas - Indianapolis - Say it with me: Never bet on a streak to end!"

San Diego at Denver - Denver - As much as I like the Chargers, I cannot and will not bet against the Broncos at home at night.

Monday, Nov. 20
N.Y. Giants at Jacksonville - Jax - I am no longer a believer in the Giants. They are too inconsistent for me. Plus - Jax really needs this.

Ep 50: Keeping it Fresh

The Brothers Z are tired of sports radio...tired of Michigan and Ohio State, tired of Bob Knight, tired of O.J. Simpson... so they bring you something a little lighter, because, well, you might be just as tired of it.

2 Liter Soda Bottles - Do you squeeze it?  Not squeeze it?  Why, or why not?  What is the benefit of either... get Stan the intern on this!

Teeny Boppers - Kids are successful at hockey and basketball, but not football and baseball. Is it do to the talent and skill being able to mask other deficiencies in that sport? Perhaps it's physical maturity...

Dancing Emmitt - Emmitt beats A.C. Slater in "Dancing with the Stars."  Jessica Spano could not be reached for comment.

Show me the Money - A new gameshow hosted by William Shatner - beam this crap off of T.V. please.

Outtakes!
If we were to do Outtakes, this is what they would sound like.

Sexy time? High Five!

I am completely sick of 2 things. Borat, and Michigan vs. Ohio State. You can't turn on the TV without seeing one of these 2 things over the past couple weeks. Both are over-hyped and over-killed. And I am so sick of seeing them.

Borat, a character played by Sacha Baron Cohen, is on every talk show being interviewed as Borat. So these people are not interviewing Sacha - but Borat, as if he were a real guy. This is idiotic to me, as it just gives Cohen an excuse to act like an ass. I don't find the Borat character very funny simply because it seems that all he tries to do is create awkward moments (like when he asked Matt Lauer if he could go 'make in toilet.') I mean can this guy be any more "Yakov Smirnov?" And I didn't like that guy either. "Is nice? High five!"

The Michigan vs. Ohio State game is worse - because we don't even know if it will be a good game. I mean, it probably will. It's #1 vs. #2 and blah, blah, blah, but the last time we had #1 vs. #2 (OSU and Texas earlier this year) the game wasn't so close. I am not rooting for either team. I am rooting for either a blowout, or that the ground opens up and swallows both teams and the stadium. Take them straight to Hell... now that will have lived up to the hype.

Ep 49: Bar Room Chatter with Adam

LEAVE US A MESSAGE ON OUR NEW BROTHERS IN 3-Z TALK BACK LINE 206-202-4738 . . . GIVE US A CALL!
Adam talks about -

Michigan vs. THE Ohio State University - Will there be a rematch for the National title? Should there be? What is the game was really, really close? How about then? Huh? Huh? Huh? Huh? Huh?

NFL Defense - As long as it's adequate enough to keep the other team's score lower, that's all you need.... and this lamp. An adequate defense and this lamp, that's all you need. (obscure "The Jerk" reference for you)

UNC Goes Butch - The Tar Heels sign Butch Davis, and that is significant in a conference that is down.

Pickies Week 10

Thought I would give you another dose of my 'straight-up' picks for this week. No spread involved, so don't be using them to place bets, people!

Cleveland @ Atlanta - Atlanta - Cleveland is playing better each week, hanging with San Diego last week, but Vick on turf in that QB-less 3 RB set that they run is going to fool the Browns.

Washington @ Philly - Philly - I don't know if I am a Philly believer yet. Wins over Houston, San Fran, Green Bay and Dallas (not 1 team with a winning record) have not impressed me. But, on the other hand - Washington sucks, and probably cannot put together 2 huge wins together. Plus I usually give the edge to teams coming off a bye.

San Diego @ Cincy - Sandy Eggo - Both teams are struggling, but SD has LT, and he is a difference maker (and my personal pick for MVP so far).

San Fran @ Detroit - Detroit - Home team wins. If this were at SF, I would have picked them, it's just that simple.

Baltimore @ Tennessee - Baltimore - McNair will have a little extra in this game so he can stick it to the Titans. If I were Tennessee, I would consider starting Kerry Collins so Vince Young doesn't get his confidence (and possibly his body) crushed against that D.

Buffalo @ Indy - Indy - Don't bet on a streak to end... especially against the Bills (unless it's a losing streak). Bills are without McGahee, and that leaves them with close to nothing. They will still manage to rush for over 100 yards against Indy's defense though.

Houston @ Jax - Jax - Houston is scrappy, but Jacksonville is good.

Kansas City @ Miami - KC - Miami played their Super Bowl last week and won - no way they are emotionally up for this one.

Green Bay @ Minnesota - Minnesota - Every year there is a team that I swear is better than they actually are. This year, I think that team for me is Minnesota. Each week I pick them in a game that I think they should win, but they will probably lose - but it doesn't stop me from picking them.

NY Jets @ New England - New England - The first time, the Jets put a little scare in the Pats. But I can't see Belichik allowing them to lose 2 weeks in a row.

Denver @ Oakland - Denver - The Broncos had their special issue cups delivered this week, so they should be okay against the girlie Raiders (seriously - kneeing in the balls is not the manliest of maneuvers).

Dallas @ Arizona - Arizona (upset special) - Fitzgerald is back and will boost the offensive performance. The Arizona defense doesn't need to do much, since T.O. will drop most apparent TD passes.

New Orleans @ Pittsburgh - New Orleans - Pittsburgh will have 700+ yeards of offense and 10+ turnovers. I really think Pittsburgh could win this, but picking a 2 win team over a 2 loss team is ridiculous.

St. Louis @ Seattle - St. Louis - Seattle can't be the offense they need to be against the Rams. St. Louis should be able to just run up the score.

Chicago @ NY Giants - Chicago (Upset 2) - Grossman is bound to play better this week and the Giants have no receivers to throw to.

Monday -
Tampa Bay @ Carolina - Carolina - Gradowski is the Alka Seltzer of the past month! First he made a splash, and now he is fizzing out.

Louisville with a 9.45 dismount

Tonight Louisville will try to score 100 points against #16 Rutgers to try and prove that they are worthy of being the #3 team in the country. I can't say that I am against that either. In college football we have gotten to the point where "style points" count and you can no longer win a game, but you have to "be impressive." Especially now in the Big East, where no one respects you and no one believes that you are actually the #3 team in the country.

So tonight it should be interesting to see Louisville try to put up 100 and Rutgers to try and hang in there in the biggest game in their history.

Ep 48: Working Hard or Hardly Working

LEAVE US A MESSAGE ON OUR NEW BROTHERS IN 3-Z TALK BACK LINE 206-202-4738 . . . GIVE US A CALL!
The Brothers Z take a little time out of their work day (shhhhh) to broadcast... that just shows their determination to get you a good show on time. This week they talk about:

Brian Pata: Miami Hurricane defensive lineman shot on campus, and the unfair and unfortunate instant reaction most people had upon hearing.

New NFL Opportunity: DVDs have "Director's Commentary." Wouldn't you want to watch a full game listening to a team's coaching staff?

Eye Black Stickers: Further sissification of a segment of sports equipment... what would Chris Hovan do?

Ladainian Tomlinson: Under the radar for MVP? How is this guy not on the short list of the sports pundits?

Vick Fantasy QB: Is he a 'regular' starter? Adam tries to solicit fantasy advice from the guy he goes up against next.

Outtakes!
The Brothers Z comment on the election (recorded the previous night) - Adam compares the Democrats to the Cubs, Trent compares the Republicans to the Raiders, and Ryan is just excited for the hanging of Sadaam.

Men Don't Do That To Other Men

Everyone has seen the "Man Law" commercials by Miller Lite, right? Well, the number 1 man law... the man law to beat all man laws is: Don't hit another man in his marbles... if you knee him, you have become more sissified. On Monday, Tyler Brayton of the Oakland Raiders did just that to Jeremy Stevens of the Seattle Seahawks.

Somebody get this guy a rule book... it'll cost him $25,000

Pickies

Atlanta at Detroit-Detroit- (upset special) Detroit is coming off of a bye week and Atlanta, I think, has over performed the last couple weeks. Marinelli used to help Tampa Bay shut down Vick. Martz knows Atlanta's D....

Cincinnati at Baltimore-Cincy - I;m not sure if it's because I don't belive Baltimore is that good, or that Cincy is as bad as they have played recently - or a combination of the 2.

Dallas at Washington-Dallas - I'm not a believer in Romo yet, but I think I could line up my 2 nephews and 5 cousins against the Skins and they would give them a tough game right now.

Green Bay at Buffalo-Buffalo - I flipped a coin.

Houston at N.Y. Giants -N.Y. Giants - a no brainer- and the Giants will have to win these "you're supposed to win" games if they want to stay atop the East

Kansas City at St. Louis -St. Louis - They seem to be monsterous at home... much like the team they are playing when they are at home, and Bulger is one of the most under recognized QBs in the league.

Miami at Chicago-Chicago - I would put the over/under on Chicago getting turnovers around the same as I would on how many points Miami will score - 6

New Orleans at Tampa Bay -N.O. - Tampa Bay has been pesky, but New Orleans has been better. The way the Saints rebound from last week will say a lot about how they are going to finish the season.

Tennessee at Jacksonville -Jacksonville - Vince Young could go over 300 yards passing...for the season (ok he has almost 600 yards, but that wouldn't have been funny)

Minnesota at San Francisco -Minnesota - San Fran has been much tougher this year especially at home, but I don't see Minnesota fading so fast.

Cleveland at San Diego -Sandy Eggo - LT and Rivers vs Frye and Droughns...hmmm. Actually, I like the way the Browns are headed, they just still aren't very good.

Denver at Pittsburgh-Pittsburgh (upset special 2) - This has the feel of a good Steeler game so people will talk about the Steelers and "will they make a run?" for a week before they choke against the Saints

Indianapolis at New England-Indy - I try not to bet that a streak will end. Indy is a great regular season team.

Monday
Oakland at Seattle-Seattle - Seneca Wallace plays so well that Al Davis will offer him a contract for next year immediately after the game

Ep 46: Constructing Credibility

LEAVE US A MESSAGE ON OUR NEW BROTHERS IN 3-Z TALK BACK LINE 206-202-4738 . . . GIVE US A CALL!
Adam and Trent go 2-Z mode and it seems like Adam is broadcasting from a well while waiting for Lassie to get help.

This week they discuss:
-Coke Zero - Great tasting soda... for about 20 minutes

-WVU vs. Louisville - What are the keys to the game, and what does this game mean to the Big East as a conference? Will the final result sway public perception?

-Ad the Builder - Adam is getting into the swing of being "handy" around his new house.

-Philly Sucks - Trent finally agrees with Trent that Philly is just not too good.

-#1 Pick - Trent predicts next year's #1 pick... Adam doesn't like it - neither think the #1 pick will be a good pro - who is it?

-Big Ben Blues - Did Adam jinx Roethlinberger's season? Yes.

Outtakes!
Adam and Kelly have a go at the DMV.
