Money is Not Love

Ok. I get Lance Briggs wants out. I get he no longer wants to play for Chicago. But he uttered a phrase I loathe in sports: "I don't want to be where I'm not wanted." The Bears offered him a long term deal a year ago, and he re-buffed it (7 years, 33 million I think). Obviously he's a great player, but to say Chicago doesn't want him is ridiculous. He should say "I don't want to be where they don't pay me what I think I am worth."

See, what I don't like about that phrase is it is trying to put the blame on the ownership instead of taking any accountability for being greedy. Lance wants more money. That's it.
