If the Chicago Bears want to bring their defense down to the level of "beatable" they are doing an excellent job of it. The Bears, who have an inconsistent QB (understatement of the day!) can ill afford to have their defense brought back into this stratosphere. Despite that - they have lost All Pros Tommie Harris (DL) and Mike Brown (S) to injury.
Now comes the news that Tank Johnson, another Bears DL, was charged for possession of unregistered guns. 6 unregistered guns. SIX. These were found in his home when the Illinois police executed a search warrant on his house. He missed practice on Thursday, but made bail on Thursday night.
Right now, this just serves as a major distraction to the Bears, but could get worse if more charges are filed.
